He decided that we had so much fun at the bowling alley for Henry's birthday that he wanted to duplicate the experience for his own.
We had Zach, Taylor and James to meet us at the alley, as well as a couple of Michael's Army buddies (Matt and Sam). The idea of having prices for low score and high score along with a prize for the person who could guess their own score (or the closest to it) made the time even more exciting for everyone.
We bowled for a couple of hours and thoroughly enjoyed the experience...it was great seeing everyone help the little ones (Brendan, Zaira, Samuel and Rebecca). And it was also great to have the dads (Michael, Trevor and Matt) bowling with them. I sat out with Robin so there were enough spots for everyone. At some point I ended up bowling as Michael got caught up in talking Army with his buddies.
Then we came home and Michael grilled a ton of meat and sides...Sam came to help. We enjoyed our meal but Zaira and I did not make it through the meal...we were wiped out from the day and took a nap while everyone else ate.
We woke up just in time to say good-bye to Sam. Then we made Rocky Road ice cream...with homemade marshmallows and pecans with a yummy chocolate base. Very yummy!
The day went by quickly...glad to be able to go back to bed. I think we might still be sick! Even Edward went to bed early tonight!
