Last Days in California

Much to tell about this time...I am afraid the tears would be too many if I actually told this tale in words.  I never would have thought I could enjoy this place so much.  We will miss it when we are gone but it is time to get home to Texas.  So here are a few pictures of our last days in California.

April 1...Fools for caching...but we have so much fun!
It is hard not to see how this little one has grown up this last year.
Here she is heading up the geocaching adventure for the day.
She is determined to be the first one to the cache!
Look what we find along the way:

OK...maybe we are big fools!  We were determined to clear this park of all the caches...one big smiley face across the board.  EXCEPT...we did not take into account that we would get locked in the park for the night!  YIKES!  Glad for a passerby who noticed our predicament and the nice ranger who came to unlock the gate!

April 21

The movers arrived...and took all our things...minus the few clothes we would pack for the trip home and way too much junk that we had to donate to the local thrift store!  They were great movers and made the packing fun and low stress!

I had wanted to take family pictures at the beach all year...nice pictures...why did it have to wait until the last week we were here?!?!  For this night...

So glad to have this fun and crazy family with us!

And then we were able to enjoy this spectacular moon event!

April 24

Our last day at the beach turned out to be a windy day but we enjoyed it until the end!

Later in the day, Hank got to say good-bye to his friends too!

April 26

It was really hard to say goo-bye to this young man!  I think we could all agree that Kameron should have come back to Texas with us!  We sure are going to miss him!

April 27
One of our last tasks was finding a good home for the children's collection of sticks!  We did not have to go too far...our next door neighbor's were happy to take over ownership!

Some how I lost our pictures of the last morning with our neighbors.  We only had the joy of their company for a few weeks before our moving process began but we feel like we have known them for a life time!  We will truly miss their company and pray they make their next move to San Antonio!

And so another end to a great stay with the Army!  Great memories never fade!
