The Fools are Coming Back
Last year at this time, I posted [a must read if you missed it!] my doubt that anything would happen...confessed to the world our foolishness and threw my hands up in the air in mercy to God's will!
AND AMAZING THINGS HAPPENED!
We truly are fools for the Lord...trusting in HIS understanding and not our own...at least we try really hard! Some times wavering in our trust and wondering later why it all worked out because in the end we do this and God's plan is so much better than our own.
It has been an amazing year...I think I might change our New Year's celebrating to this date...it just seems to be a good time of year to make changes.
SO...this year the month of foolishness has begun! In this month, this is the plan...ha ha...as you know God laughs at the plans of man...
Next week, the older two boys and little miss are jumping in the car with me to drive our brave leader's car back to Texas. We are leaving the other two with friends for this trip. Then we stay through the weekend to allow the boys to participate in a 4H contest. I will take an afternoon to inspect our new home...it is being built as we speak...a first for us!
Then, we will all fly back to California. During the next two weeks, brave leader takes all his final tests...passing with flying colors, of course!...and in the mean time the children and I will be preparing for the movers to come and pack up the California house.
We close on our new home some time before the end of the month. It will be done before we are ready but it will wait for us!
Some where in all this craziness, we also have a few more California adventures waiting for us!
Brave leader graduates at the end of the month and we take a "Choose Your Own Adventure" style trip home. We would love to take a northern route on our journey but with weather constraints we have decided to list out our bucket list of choices and see where the road takes us.
SO...get ready if you are following our crazy story...it should be interesting!
My dad...gone 13 years ago almost to the date...was always a trickster...he just loved a good joke! I can still see his cocky grin when he thought something was funny! But one thing he was serious about was that God's plan was the right plan. His favorite thing to say when someone was feeling down or did not like how things were going was simple.
"Things will be different next year!"
Well that was definitely true for us! And if you are feeling low today...say a prayer asking for God's plan to be revealed in your life...yeah...go ahead and throw those hands up in the air...and then sit back and see what He has planned for you! We do it again this year...and we look forward to sharing with you what that means for us because God is good all the time...and we place our trust in Him!
