Well...the bathroom saga continues...however, today was a good day! My brother, Nathan, came for the day to help me get the plumbing in order before the man comes to work on the tile.
We arrived mid-morning and set out with an inspection of the area. We discussed options and then made our first trip to Lowe's. All went well and we were back to the job in no time!
Nathan got the shower knobs installed without too much trouble. I was glad we were able to switch to a single lever instead of knobs. It looks great and will be so much easier to control water temperature.
We took a break for lunch and then started to look over the tub area. Nathan decided that it would be best to have cut off valves...so back to Lowe's we went! This trip took less time than the morning trip. Nathan now had little helpers to get things done. Brendan passed tools to him and and he enjoyed the experience. Henry and Sean both helped by cutting off the main water supply. One time the water had been turned on instead of off and there was water EVERYWHERE!!!! Nathan got it under control and now concerned could be placed on the task of putting the tub faucet in the right spot.
All went well in the end and we have the first finished step to this remodel!
I was happy to make him a delicious German meal before he had to head back to his work.
A BIG thank you to Nathan for his help! I could not have done it without you!
